Faith, Community, Belonging

Welcoming Every Child
Into the Heart of Catholic Education

“Truly I tell you, whatever you did for the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”
– Matthew 25:40

About One Classroom

Our schoolhouse shines the light of Christ through inclusive Catholic education in the Archdiocese of St. Louis and beyond! Driven by faith, we provide a pathway for children with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to attain a Catholic education alongside their neurotypical peers. Embracing children of all learning abilities creates an atmosphere of acceptance, unconditional love, and enriched learning that magnifies the Kingdom of God.

Why Inclusion Matters

One Classroom views every child as a sacred gift. The work of inclusive education reflects the perennial teaching of the Catholic Church regarding the dignity of human life and role of families and faith-based communities in creating a more just society. We provide essential resources and training to families of children with IDD, school administrators and staff, and parish clergy. Partnering with each of these key groups makes inclusive Catholic education possible. Together, we’re helping Catholic schools welcome all students, while also building a more connected and compassionate Church.
